The Beyond The Veil Detectives books pick up where The Lucas Rathbone Mysteries leave off, however it is not necessary to have read the first series to enjoy the second, as they have been written to be enjoyed completely standalone from each other.

As it takes place at Halloween 1929, chronologically this falls between Wagers of Sin and Continuity Killing, however it has no bearing on the rest of the series and can be read independantly.
