Title: A Castlebury Christmas

Author: Saffron Amatti

Series: Lucas Rathbone Mysteries (Christmas Special Novella)

Genre: historical fiction, Christmas special

Tropes: Christmas, found family, heartwarming

Your favourite sleuths as they take a break for Christmas - and teach one lonely orphan boy the joys of the festive season...

Tommy Kilbourne has never had much to celebrate.

Even if he did, he's never had anyone to celebrate it with.

However, Christmas 1928 is about to change all that.

Because for the first time ever, he's about to spend a famiy Christmas with his friends, Clara Jenkins and Lucas Rathbone, in their village Castlebury Magna.

Join the trio in a heartwarming festive short story as they finish their Christmas shopping, decorate the tree, visit Father Christmas with Clara's nephew, and much more - as well as discover a few new traditions to enjoy.

Learn the importance of having your own teddy bear, why Christmas tree angels might not always be what they first appear, and alternative lyrics to a much-loved carol in A Castlebury Christmas!

Author's Note

This is NOT in any way a mystery story.

It is, instead, a sweet peek at my characters as they see out the end of a hectic year in relative peace.

This is also NOT part of the Lucas Rathbone Mysteries series, as such, and is perhaps best described as a parallel universe where the events in Festively Fatal (which also occurs at Christmas 1928) didn't happen.

A murder at the manor does rather put a crimp in a celebration, and after the year they've had, they really do deserve a proper break.

So, make yourself a hot cocoa, grab a mince pie or gingerbread cookie (or both - it is Christmas, after all) and enjoy a sweet story full of festive cheer.
